Color Me Red
I don’t know if it’s superstition or the law of attraction, but since launching this branding studio in 2016, there’s a trend that happens at least once a year. 🔮 We tend to book branding projects with similar design themes back-to-back.
Last year, we booked three back-to-back floral-themed brands. We’ve also booked back-to-back event planners from Southern California (so random) and an uninterrupted stream of blue-themed brands.
The first time I noticed this repetition coincidence was in 2017 when we booked three back-to-back red-themed brands. This was before we rebranded RawMade to be red. And to be clear, every time we get a thematic ‘threepete,’ it’s not because we are choosing so. We rely heavily on the outcome of a Brand Strategy process where we uncover what is the best look for your business based on your brand personality, target audience, and what would set you apart from the competition.
Today we’re sharing the 3 branding projects that set off our funny repetition superstition. Unique brands we had the pleasure to develop that were all very red-inspired. ❤️
AXEN Club
AXEN Club is a free accountability meetup that helps people accomplish their goals supported by community. They came to us needing brand renaming (they were originally named Action Club, which couldn’t be trademarked) and a brand upgrade. With a handful of Clubs around the globe, we were given the task of renaming the organization and giving it a signature look that was easy to replicate across all clubs. Oh, and we had to keep the brand red!
Art of the Beholder
Before her rebrand, artist Dani V. was promoting herself under the name Art of Bubbsy (Bubbsy being a nickname she was more than happy to part ways with). She wanted a brand name and a defined look that didn’t compete with her art. Although most of her illustration work is in black and white, she did have pops of red sprinkled throughout. After helping her with brand naming, Dani inspired us to create one of our favorite red brands and now she can inspire others with a brand that can’t be missed.
StoryBold
Originally named Novel Masters, writing coach Julie Tyler approached us to help her with a rebrand after noticing her target audience had changed since launching the business. We renamed the brand and, of course, kept the red which she described as the color that best represented her coaching personality. To balance it out, we paired the red with a cool blue to outstanding results!
