Your Services Page is Killing Your Sales
I’ve come to refer to the traditional “Services” page as the wallflower of your website. It (sometimes) beautifully lists what you do, but it doesn’t sell.
About a year ago, a potential client came to me frustrated because her site was getting traffic but zero inquiries. We pulled up her Services page and there it was, a grid of boxes with the infamous “service title, stock image, bullet points” combo. That’s when I knew it was time to shove the traditional Services page to the back of the closet and bring out the Sales page. 🙌🏽 Because the main thing your website should be doing (besides looking good) is selling for you.
Back in the day, when a client asked, “Can you make me a Sales page?” I’d cringe picturing one of those ugly-as-hell landing pages with flashing red buttons. Now I get excited, because a properly designed Sales page is the high-converting, personality-packed, “Oh damn, I need this,” version of your Services page.
And I’m not alone in this mindset shift. There’s a definite kill-the-Services-page-here-comes-the-Sales-page movement happening because…
🔎 You get clarity. Instead of scattering your energy across five mini offers, go all in on your moneymaker offer.
✨ You get connection. A Sales page gives you room to tell the story, the “why” that gets people to actually care.
🎯 You get ease. It becomes your built-in landing page for launches, ads, and marketing. No tech drama, no daunting funnels.
💸 And most importantly? It converts. A Sales page doesn’t just describe your offer, it guides your lead through a journey that ends in a confident purchase or inquiry.
If your website still has that sad little “Our Services” page trying to sell everything but saying nothing, maybe it’s time to give your offer the stage it deserves.
