How Do I Launch in Stages?
If you’re a little confused about where to start when planning a brand or service launch, this is the post for you. Are you thinking, “Do I just wake up one day and replace everything old on my social media profiles with the new brand or content? Where do I begin? Help!”
Our recommendation is to launch in stages! The point of “launching” is to create excitement and say, “Hey, something new is coming or something new is here! Look at me!” drumming up attention from your current and potential audience. The act of “launching” is crucial because it’s your hurray moment to grab a ton of attention at once. Therefore, to make the process easier, launch in carefully planned stages.
stage 1
Give a little teaser. Don’t reveal the entire logo, brand colors, new services, new sales promo, etc. Just tease. The best way to tease is to take people on the journey with you. Document your launch process for content and bring your audience on the journey by sharing the story behind the launch.
stage 2
Reveal the new brand or service! Officially say, “Here it is!” I recommend publishing this announcement really early in the morning, so when people log onto their computers and phones, your announcement is there waiting for them. Update your social media and send out an email update to your community. Basically, gather your launch materials and launch them all at once.
stage 3
After you’ve launched, continue to communicate with your audience consistently. Take advantage of having so many eyes and ears on you. Thank them for being part of the journey and add as an incentive how they can celebrate the launch with you.
As an example, let’s say you’re launching a new brand. Stage 1 is to share a teaser, something vague, of the new brand look. Perhaps close-up details or behind-the-scenes photos. Stage 2 would be to share the full brand look (logo, website, etc.). And Stage 3 would be to say, “Let’s celebrate this new brand by joining my free workshop or happy hour get-together.”
stage 4
Keep the momentum going. You can launch multiple times in your business, not only when you launch the brand, but also when you launch services, products, sales, and more!
